Ogres make almost perfect Blood Bowl players. Almost. Their great size and strength makes them great blocking assets, while their long stride gives them decent mobility as blitzers, and their robust constitution means they're likely to stay on the pitch.Unfortunately, ogres also tend to be a little slow-witted (though don't ever tell one that) and lack a deal of coordination, making them poor handlers of the ball. The odd ogre breaks the mould, and former Chaos All-Stars captain Morg 'n' Thorg is unquestionably one of the greatest players ever to play the game.
While it's not unheard of for ogres to band together and form their own teams, they don't tend to be terribly successful. In fact, the most famous ogre team in the sport, the Oldheim Ogres, is also widely considered one of the worst teams of all time. Most ogres with enthusiasm for Blood Bowl instead take up jobs with human or Chaos teams.
The Oldheim Ogres aren't alone, as Ogre teams are in general one of the worst in the game. What they do have going for them, though, is the fact they can have a strong line of Ogre players (as the name suggests). They can deal out damage and are very hard to get past if they remember what they are doing. The Snotling players are also very cheap (the cheapest in the game), so you can have a full roster of reserves, which you will probably need to use.
The team is riddled with lots of disadvantages. The Ogres all suffer from Bonehead, which will make your plans go awry and your defense disappear. The Snotlings are very weak, poor at tackling and break very easily. The team has no ball handling or hitting skills to start with and moving the ball around can be problematic.
