Humans - or near-humans - who have turned into wolves are surprisingly popular on the Blood Bowl pitch, since they display a talent for the game perhaps matched only by their skill at basketball. Werewolves tend to come in two types: those afflicted with a shapeshifting curse through infection or genetics, who play for Necromantic teams, and those who have been blessed by their gods with the ability to shapechange, who play alongside their fellow Norsemen.
Werewolves, especially the Necromantic variety, are among the most versatile players in Blood Bowl, capable of filling the role of a blitzer, runner, catcher or blocker depending on what the team requires. Always a hit with the fans, werewolves have provided some of the League's biggest stars.
