Making her debut in Season II, Herfjötur established herself as the key member of the surprisingly strong Valkyrie line, maintaining a formidable defence to offset the famous offence led by players like Göndul and Skeggjöld. Her performances were considered good enough for her to be nominated to represent Division A in the Season III All-Stars match, but that was to prove her downfall. Trying to defend against a Division B running play by Niflheimr early in the second half, she fell afoul of a block by the Norseman's compatriot Lyngvi and died on the pitch, ending her promising career.
